July 4   Disney

The first day of Disney. We got to Florida quite late and we still needed to get to Disney and book in. So we got in one of the Disney busses. I thought I might fall a sleep in the bus but I didn’t. We were too freaked out by their creepy child slaughter music (it was that ‘I’m so innocent but really this is a lullaby to lure you in and then we’ll eat you’) But it could be me. We stopped at practically every other resort before we got to the All Star Music resort where we bailed and got our tickets. Now it was the 4th Of July. We needed to get to a spot where we could do some of the awesome rides and still see the 4th of July fireworks displays. Mom did some research and we found out that the Hollywood Studio park was staying open until 01:00 so we decided that that would be the place to be. We went there and some of us (Jessica) were a little grumpy and so we got the wondrous thing called a Fast Pass. A fast pass is a thing that you use your card to get. You get in a short Q and get the fast pass and then return the fast pass and skip the Q at the certain Fast Pass time and you could only have another fast pass a certain amount of time later. They were really awesome. We got one as soon as we entered we got it for Twilight Zone Tower Of Terror. We then checked out where we could eat. We found a nice short cue and got some of the world renowned Disney burger and checked out where we next wanted to go. The next place we wanted to go was the AroeSmith Roller coaster. So we finished and still had some time before we had to see the fireworks or the ride. So we wandered and looked through a bunch of shops when we came across the Muppets IN 3D now mom is a big fan so we got in the short Q. WE were shortly ushered into a smallish well decorated room with 6 screens and a box of 3D glasses which we instantly put on and were highly disappointed because when it went on we didn’t recognise any of the characters and the 3D was TERRIBLE! Then we were told to rise and follow. We did and found ourselves in a beautiful replica of a big opera theatre. Ohmigosh the 3D was amazing it was right in front of our faces the whole time and there were many well known and lovable Muppets that we remember. When we got out we had a little time before the fireworks and the fast passes were ready. So we got into the spooky looking castle thingy (old hotel) and were ushered into a room where we watched a small movie thing that was the story line of the ride. We waited in a small Q then we went into the ‘elevator’ and strapped ourselves in. We continued and then just as we were by the ruined Hollywood sign that we’d seen on the way in and over looking the rest of the theme park we suddenly rose slowly and nearly gave us a heart attack because we thought that we were going to be dropped and then just as we thought NAH it’ll be fine it dropped as in that’s the same speed that we’d be going if we were falling over a cliff. The only reason that I wasn’t stuck to the roof was because of the seat belt. Then it stopped abruptly rose again stopped…(suspense brewing) and dropped while the camera flash went off we realised that was another photo we didn’t want to see from these roller coasters. It continued upping and downing for a while we finally came back to the ground where they never forgot the gift shop. We hurried out and found a spot to watch the 4th of July fireworks. Which were BEAUTIFUL! I couldn’t believe my eyes (I also couldn’t stop thinking that it would be the perfect time to go on a shooting rampage while the finale went on). Once that was done I chose to use the opportunity to get in line in the aero smith. I walked (needing to keep my dignity) to the line but I don’t just walk I can do some serious super walking. But lots of other people had the same idea and when I got there mom said that I must go to them and that it was rude to push in front like that. Just then the people in front of us invite 5 people to come in front of them. When we finally got inside we were deceived and we were not even close to the ride but it was nicely decorated. We were in a sort of hall of fame where we saw Queen (the brilliant) and Jonas Brothers (the not) in the same room. Which was kind of wrong. We then got into another sort of music museum where they had some old equipment and signed guitars. Then we got to the story part where they had the aero smith crew and it was cute. Then we got to the ride and the nice people behind as were telling us about how cool the ride is and how the camera is right when we take off. So we vowed we would try and smile. When we got there there was a count down and it took off at an unhuman pace and no we did not smile (another photo that wasn’t going to be very pretty). When it was done we were shaken up pretty well and thought that it was 12 and that maybe it was time to go sleep which we did and got stuck in a whole bunch of going home traffic.

We slept until 9
